      <image:title>Words - We Know What We Are: A Novel</image:title>
<image:caption>When cult leader Charatie Sterling appoints herself National Leader, therapist Dr. Beth Ng and her client Lucy Ever must live in a developing anti-science dystopia. In this epistolary, multi-POV novel-in-progress, Sterling rises from nobody to The Leader, enshrining her belief that all life is happy and sacred into law. She has banned all treatments for the mentally ill and unleashed the Enforcers of the Truth to disappear the neurodivergent. Lucy has to get her medication from the underground resistance and is in danger of being captured. Sterling has also imposed deep restrictions on maternal healthcare and abortion. When Beth finds herself pregnant again, she is denied all outlawed prenatal care, and fears being forced to give birth without medical attention. The novel, essential to our times, explores the threat of rejecting science and medicine, and of stigmatizing, ostracizing, and scapegoating those with mental illness. Let’s hope the real world doesn’t catch up to this fictional dystopia!</image:caption>

      <image:title>Words - When River Meets Ocean: A Children’s Picture Book</image:title>
<image:caption>Sometimes, it’s lonely being different. River just wants to meet someone like him. His mom just wants to feel like she and her son are understood. River is the kindergarten-aged protagonist of my story. He’s autistic and is largely non-verbal. He describes himself, his family, and his life to the reader. Eventually he meets a kid named Ocean, who is just like him — and he and his mother don’t feel so alone anymore.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Me - I grew up on an island…</image:title>
<image:caption>…pirouetted on its beaches, gazed as wave after wave crashed around me. The water tries to swallow me but it will always fail. I grew up with a love of art and personal expression, of creating things with my hands and mind, of capturing and sharing beauty, darkness and light. Largely alone, I fought to find community. I danced, I drew, I painted, I crafted, I knotted, I knitted, I spoke, I acted, I directed, I threw, I stitched, I debated, I played, I sang, I composed, I dotted, I designed, I dyed, I baked, I decorated. I imagined and imagine still. I write and photograph.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Me - Now…</image:title>
<image:caption>I am a caregiver tending to my tiny humans, piles of dirty dishes, plants, and too many manuscripts. I am a disabled white settler living and writing and caring on the We(s)t Coast of Canada. I have completed Simon Fraser University’s The Writer’s Studio and have a BA in psychology from the University of British Columbia. I enjoy collecting books I hope to, but likely will never read, indulging in good food and graceful flowers, and sharing mugs of eclectic tea with the people I love on our cream-coloured couch.</image:caption>
